Zeeland Natatorium

Project Details

Over the years, Zeeland Public Schools has fielded a number of very successful swimming and diving teams. Having long outgrown the District’s aquatic facilities, ZPS acquired funding for a new Natatorium and auxiliary gymnasium.

Plenty of natural light floods the indoor pool with large windows running the length of the pool on both sides. The entry lobby offers a panoramic view of the Natatorium and provides a sense of entry for future expansions at Zeeland West High School.

The new pool has a competition venue of (10) lanes with a movable bulkhead providing the flexibility of a 25 yard short course, or 25 meter and 33 1/3 meter long course. The width of the pool provides a community/practice venue of (16) lanes x25 yards long. The diving well is furnished with (2) 1 meter and (2) 3 meter diving boards. Other features include: state-of-the-art electronic timing system, full color LED video scoreboard, automatic water leveling system and computer controlled chemical feeders, home and visitor team locker rooms, and a 552 seat spectator viewing area.
